Objective: This research aims to identifying injuries in athletes with partial tears of the anterior cruciate ligament in basketball players, and preparing a rehabilitation program accompanied by ozone therapy and ultrasound waves for those with partial tears of the anterior cruciate ligament in basketball players.
Research methodology: The researchers in this study used an experimental approach. The research group consisted of players with partial tears of the anterior cruciate ligament of the knee joint (right or left). The research sample was deliberately selected from this group, and consisted of 10 players.
Results: The results showed statistically significant differences in favor of the experimental group, significant differences at the significance level (p ≤ 0.005) across all study variables. This demonstrates the effectiveness of the rehabilitation program used. The rehabilitation program, combined with ozone and ultrasound, demonstrated an improvement in pain levels, an increase in range of motion and functional stability of the knee, a reduction in injury recovery time, and a faster return to training and competition for players.
Conclusions: The rehabilitation program, combined with ozone therapy and ultrasound, had a clear positive impact on improving a range of functional and physical variables associated with the knee joint. It contributed to increasing range of motion, developing quadriceps strength, and reducing the severity of pain associated with the injury.
