The journal is owned the "University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation sciences" in Tehran, Iran. IRJ provides an international, open-access forum for the publication of double blind peer-reviewed papers that provide interesting and timely knowledge intersecting between clinical and basic research. 

Papers that answer longstanding questions, open new avenues of research, report unexpected findings, or change the way we think about rehabilitation and social welfare will be of priority for publication.
