Open Access Policy

The Iranian Rehabilitation Journal (IRJ) is owned by the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences and co-published by Negah Scientific Publisher. IRJ is a fully open-access, peer-reviewed journal. All articles are freely and permanently available online immediately upon publication without subscription or access restrictions. Readers may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, and link to the full text of published articles, provided that appropriate attribution is given to the original work and the terms of the journal's open access license are observed. The journal is committed to the broad dissemination of high-quality scientific knowledge in rehabilitation sciences, supporting researchers, clinicians, policymakers, and the public worldwide. The University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences provides substantial financial support for the journal's editorial management, peer review, production, online hosting, and long-term publication. To help sustain publication services, authors are required to pay a modest Article Processing Charge (APC) after acceptance. Details of the APC are published transparently on the journal website before manuscript submission. No additional publication charges are imposed beyond those publicly announced. The editorial and peer-review processes are conducted independently of the journal's financial model. Editorial decisions are based exclusively on the scientific quality, originality, methodological rigor, ethical integrity, and relevance of submitted manuscripts, regardless of the authors' ability to pay. IRJ is committed to the principles of transparent, ethical, and responsible scholarly publishing and follows internationally recognized standards for open access publishing and publication ethics.

Authors retain the copyright of their published work. Upon acceptance of a manuscript, authors grant the Iranian Rehabilitation Journal (IRJ), co-published by Negah Scientific Publisher on behalf of the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences, a non-exclusive license to publish, reproduce, distribute, archive, and preserve the article as the Version of Record. All articles published in IRJ are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license.
